Well, it is now official. I have overcome the last hurdle of my hike to reach total outness. I'm not much of a drama queen, but it was so anticlimactic though. I should be feeling like weight has been lifted off my shoulders, but instead I kinda feel indifferent -- maybe a little better. Oh well, I'm just glad that I have supportive parents. Of course they went through the whole "Were we not supportive?" spiel, but in the end, they explicitly stated they are fine with me being gay.

Well done and congratulations. And bravo to your parents, too. I imagine part of the let-down you feel is the fact that all the horrible scenarios we tend to imagine when we're afraid of rejection didn't come true. Perverse things, human feelings, aren't they?
